Chris Palmer - Senior Pastor

“I know and believe that the Lord can and will use each and every person who heeds God’s unique and specific calling upon their life, just as He did mine. My background and degrees were in business administration and marketing followed by Physical Therapy with which I have worked for over 17 years within and around the surrounding areas of Cumberland County; not preaching and ministry! I was never formally taught or trained or educated in ministry and yet, here I am, a minister of the gospel and a full time pastor within the church that I have raised my family in! Hallelujah and praise our great and mighty King!

God has called me to teach His word and to make disciples of others in Cumberland County and that is what I am dedicated to doing! It is time to unite the Body of Christ and become that which He called us to be!”

Ephesians 4:1-6, “Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.”

Desirae Palmer - Youth Pastor

Pastor Desirae started at Cumberland Worship Center a few months after its foundation under Pastorʼs Linus and Karen Vaughn. A few months later she was married to Chris and they began a long course of ministry at Cumberland Worship Center. They were quickly trained to become cell group leaders and Desirae headed up the pre-school program, helping to implement many of the protocols we have in place today to make childrenʼs ministry the best it can be. From there, Desirae continued to help in vacation bible school as well as womenʼs ministries at CWC.

In 2008, under Pastorʼs Mark and Dianna Dufrene, and Dr. Eddie Brown, she and Chris were ordained and began the role as youth ministers. Desirae is still continuing in the role of youth pastor and has a great desire to see the youth of Cumberland County step out and realize their importance in Christ and becoming our next generation of leaders.

In 2014, Chris and Desirae assumed the positions of senior pastors of CWC and are working hard to build a unified church that works to meet the needs of the community through outreach programs, children and youth programs and ministry for the family.

Desirae loves spending quality time with her two daughters, Kellyn and Addyson, vacationing, reading books and movie nights! It is Desiraeʼs heart's desire to see CWC grow to become a mighty church and outreach for Cumberland County and to truly become a light in this darkened world.

Teresa Weidner - Administrative Pastor

Teresa was the typical PK (preachers kid),

and she has always been involved with ministry in

one way or another. From nursery worker to Sunday School Teacher.

She has been Administrative Pastor since April 2009, and will probably

be the friendly voice on the other end when calling the church.

She directs the business and financial operations of the church.

Her goal is to free up the Senior Pastor so to allow him to do what

God has called him to do. Also, aiding and equipping the staff and

volunteers to manage the church ministries effectively. Perceiving her

position at Cumberland Worship Center as a ministry rather than a job,

Teresa counts it all joy and delights in serving God by serving His people.

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings

good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things,

who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

Isaiah 52:7

Nancy Myers - Worship Pastor

Ever since she was a young girl, Nancy was raised with a love to sing

and play piano for Jesus. In high school, a pastor’s message about the move

of God in the last days stirred up a passion within her. He had

stated that some people would be for it and some would be against it.

She lifted up a prayer to be for God’s moving, and to be in the center of

what God was doing. God heard and remembered her prayer. She is

thankful to have been part of several different moves and streams of

the Body of Christ.

Her desire is for the glory and presence of God, and to truly “know”

Him in every season. She believes worship is not just something you

do on Sunday, it’s a lifestyle. She loves people, of all ages, and longs

for the Body of Christ to arise with love and freedom to worship in

Spirit and in Truth. She enjoys being with her family, exploring outside

in God’s creation, sipping coffee with friends, and traveling.

Psalm 16:2 & 11 (AMP) 2 I say to the Lord, You are my Lord;

I have  no good beside or beyond You… 11 You will show

me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at

Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Tabitha Webb - Kidz Pastor

Tabitha moved to Crossville, TN from Florida, December 2009 with

her family. While she was in Florida she taught children's church for

over 5 years. Since 2014 she has worked in Cumberland County

Schools, working with Pre - K through 8th grade students. She has a

heart and passion for children and loves to watch God

work through them.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying,

“Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are

converted and become as little children, you will by no means

enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles

himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this

in My name receives Me.

Matthew 18: 1-5

Will & Brittany Kerley - Young Adults Leaders

Will and Brittany started coming to CWC when they were teenagers, and attended the youth group. After they started attending the youth group, they began to play on the worship team, and soon after that, began to lead the worship team. Will and Britt got married in 2011, and soon after, moved to Virginia, where Will was stationed in the Navy. They currently live in Crossville, where Will works in the tech industry, and Brittany works in the accounting industry.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NLT)

This is what the Lord says:

“Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom,

or the powerful boast in their power,

or the rich boast in their riches. But those who wish to boast

should boast in this alone:that they truly know me and understand

that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love

and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,

and that I delight in these things.

I, the Lord, have spoken!
